Did You Know You’re a Content Creator?
September 26, 2024
Unless you are a hermit or living under a rock, chances are you’ve created some form of social media content in your life. This, according to this blog post by Hubspot, means you can consider yourself a content creator.
Does the title feel too professional for you? Don’t be intimidated. According to Hubspot’s blog, anyone who puts content out into the world is essentially a content creator, whether they make money from it, have a ton of followers, or do it frequently.
Knowing that we can all then basically consider ourselves content creators is freeing in a way. It opens the gates to anyone making their mark on the platform of their choice.
However, it also means that even if you don’t consider yourself a content creator, you should. That’s because whatever you put onto the internet, whether it is curated or spur-of-the-moment, it all adds up to what is, in essence, your brand.
So yes, while it can be freeing to think of yourself as a content creator, it can also increase the pressure, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Whatever you put online sets the tone of how people perceive you, and being aware of this is an important part of being digitally savvy.
It also means that if there is something you feel passionate about or a niche you love, the possibility is there for you to share it with the world.
Don’t hold back!
Creating content that makes other people as happy as it makes you is surely some sort of contribution to the world.
